Young Researcher's Forum

Target
AISM2008 aims to provide a lot of chance to meet, discuss, exchange knowledge with many people from many nations in Asia and the world. This program named 'Young Researcher's Forum YRF2008' also has a target of giving those opportunities especially to young researchers including young Ph.D students and young professional staffs in research organizations.

  • Self Introduction
    Please introduce yourselves around one minutes. Please introduce anything relative to your research experiences, for example, your current position, research or your objective or dream in your research areas. PPT presentation is also available. Please feel free to contact us and submit your sliders to us in advance.
  • Group discussion
    Participants can discuss freely in this session. Although English is the official language, other languages (Chinese and Japanese) could be interpreted and communicated in some cases. Please feel free to exchange your opinions or suggestions.

    We also provide some snacks during discussion, please enjoin yourself.

YRF is planned, organized, prepared and serviced by a lot of students at Hokkaido University. The following two student staffs are the co-leaders of this program, who are Ph.D students at Kaneko & Tanaka lab in Hokkaido University.

My name is Yuan Li. It is my great honor and pleasure to welcome you to the ASIM 2008 held in Hokkaido University. I am a doctor student in System Sensing and Control Lab. My research area is image processing and machine vision. I will be excited and delighted to meet and discuss with all researchers and professionals from any part of the Asia.
As a staff, I am pleased and happy to help you during the conference. Wish all the participants will enjoy your stay in this beautiful and pleasant summer of Sapporo and have wonderful and helpful communications about technology, science and culture in ASIM 2008. I am a PhD student in Information Graduate School of Information Science and Technology / System Sensing & Control Laboratory at Hokkaido University.
My current research focuses on image enhancement and computer vision.
